Beethoven's 8th and popularity.....?

Beethoven's 8th Symphony gets overwhelmed by the popularity of the 7th and the 9th The 9th may be greatest musical piece ever written, period. The 7th is a very lively piece and full of energy and rhythm. Somehow the second movement of Beethoven's 7th seems to me to be a weak copy of the second movement of Beethoven's 3rd Symphony. The 9th is clearly superior to either the 7th or the 8th. However, I do think that the 8th Symphony is at least as good as the 7th.
