Is Yamaha PSR550 a synthesizer ?

I want to buy Yamaha PSR550. Is it worth taking it now? Since it do not have a USB drive. It is having a floppy drive which is obsolete. Is my choice a right one ? Can we use the PSR as synthesizer too ? Please let me know . Thank you.
