What is the paper in the bottom of a reese's peanuter cup for?

i went to this website about FAQ(frequently asked questions)about candy and that was one of the questions.they said it's because they have to have it at the bottom cause if they didn't it would melt easier if you were holding it and the white paper blocks your body heat from melting the candy.
