Honest question about the police and my front door.?

If the police receive a complaint about you, the police officer has a right to investigate. If he demands to see your wife to see if she's been injured, you have to cooperate, or he can arrest you for obstruction of justice. If the police officer sees that your wife is injured, he can arrest you, even if your wife doesn't press charges, because beating up your wife is illegal, no matter what your wife says, and if the police officer sees that a crime has been committed, you go to jail. Real life isn't like TV. A police officer investigating a crime doesn't need a warrant.
