How to byp computer authorization to down load my ipod?

I don't have a computer at home, so I would like to use my work computer to use my Ipod I just got as a gift. How do I byp the authorization (block) that prevents me from installing my Ipod? Currently, there has to be a business need to install it (for us new employees), however, my coworkers who have been here for 5 yrs or more, have been able to install it on their computers. They all have Ipods or other mp3 players on their work computers. Please advise, thanks
