Should this be added to my story or would it be a drawback?

So, the main character in my story is, how do you say, a bit promiscuous, and I was wondering, in order to make it more realistic, should I give her like yeast infection at one point or maybe a less serious STD (although all STDs are serious). Do you think this might be a drawback, like maybe it might seem like the story is trying to be informative or something?
