Is the UN's program of Substainable Development really a good idea?

The UN wants to enact a new program called Substainable Development which states that every person on Earth should abandon electricity and live like we did in the Middle Ages. (besides the UN elite themselves of course). There would be no computers or tele for 99.9% of the world's population and we would all have to become vegans. The reason is so that the environment will be saved. They also want to decrease the world's population from the current 6.5 billion people to just 1 billion. That is either going to require lots of bloodshed and nuclear wars or most of the world's people will have to get neutered or spayed like any household pet. What gives these people the right to impose their wills upon us? In some ways this is no better than what Hitler wanted to do if he won WWII (depopulate Africa with neutron bombs).
